Let’s get started
I’m on a mission to help people live good lives.
I help people to decide what matters to them, what challenges they wish to address, and to pursue meaningful paths and goals. Whether it be a quick ‘Get me back on track’ session, deeper work around values and identity, support for better health and well-being, or building priority management and mindfulness skills - helping you grow into the happiest and healthiest version of you is my personal Good Life Project. You know you don’t want therapy, but you do want solid, evidence-based techniques to be the very best you can be.
Support & Skills

Mindfulness and Breathing.
Prioritising and Managing Time.
Reducing and Managing Stress.
Behaviour Change
Understanding Values and Identity.
Rewriting the rules we have about ourselves.
Creating the systems that lead to an amazing life.
Development & Performance
Handling nerves.

Big hairy audacious goals.
Coaching
My approach is a combination of positive psychology tools, ACT principles, and solution-based coaching to help you achieve the outcomes you set for yourself. I know how frustrating it is to feel stuck - coaching provides the opportunity to get clarity, create a plan, and take action in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
Whether one focused planning session is all you need, or if you're in a season where regular check-ins are what will move the dial, I offer a no fluff, pragmatic approach that meets you exactly where you are at.
About me
Hi, I’m Nicky Berger.
I’ve represented NZ in a couple of different sports, married Dan, built a robust family farming business, balanced work with community contribution, and navigated growing four strong, healthy, resilient kids in a rapidly changing world. I’ve had lots of amazing experiences, achieved some important goals, and for that I’m very grateful.
But at times I’ve also found myself dropping more balls than I could keep juggling. I’ve been at the bottom of a deep pit - overwhelmed, grieving and…. stuck. My journey back to health included therapy, great coaching, and time re-writing some of the ‘life rules’ that I thought I needed to live by. Every bit of my personal 'Good Life Project' has been worth it, and I love living a life that is satisfying, balanced and authentic.

These days, my life is more balanced and more joyful. I get to be a good parent to my teens (I figure they're worth the investment!), I compete at lifting heavy things (Also worth the investment!), I’m pursuing graduate psychology studies at Massey University, doing work in the community I care about, watching a lot of rugby, and I also get to coach other people to create their own ‘Good Life Project’.
A life where sometimes we need to tilt more deeply - knocking off a big goal, strengthening our parenting skills, or improving our health – but one that’s always underpinned by balancing the foundations of a good life – Relationships, Health, Work, and Community. Does that sound like the kind of Good Life you'd like to build?
